prs-tekton-svn-7-string-fuchsia-aura
PRS Tekton SVN 7 String Fuchsia Aura

The PRS Tekton SVN is the 7-string in PRS’s Tekton family, finished in Fuchsia Aura. A 26.5” scale length gives the low B the tension it needs to stay tight and defined, and the rest of the guitar is built to the same modern spec as its six-string siblings: 16” radius, stainless steel frets, ebony board, thin “D” neck.

The figured mango top over a mahogany back sets it apart visually from most extended-range guitars, which tend to lean flat black and utilitarian. The shallow violin carve, belly carve, and exaggerated upper-fret scoop keep it comfortable through long sessions in drop tunings.

The maple neck is scarf-jointed and carved to a Modern “D” profile: thin, but with enough shoulder that it doesn’t feel like a stick. Hormigo strength rods run through it — the same idea as the carbon rods PRS uses in its acoustics — adding stability and rigidity, which also does good things for how the guitar resonates. The ebony fingerboard carries a new-for-PRS offset dot inlay and Luminlay side dots so you can find your place on a dark stage. String spacing follows the wider Tekton layout, which pays off on a seven-string where the low B can otherwise feel crowded. Stainless steel frets, PRS Jumbo size, on a 16” radius.

PRS voiced the Stylus SVN pickups specifically for this family. They’re aggressive but clear, with a flatter output than most PRS humbuckers — deliberately, so they behave through digital rigs and modelers as well as they do into a tube amp. Alnico 5 magnets, and lower output than a lot of pickups aimed at this genre, which is where the note definition comes from. Every position is usable: humbucking or split, alone or together.

The seven-string PRS Hardtail bridge uses individual saddles and a string-through design for intonation and sustain. PRS Phase III locking tuners, smoked black hardware, high-gloss nitro on the body with a satin nitro neck. Ships with a PRS Premium Gig Bag.

Tekton is the Ancient Greek word for craftsman or builder — specifically a woodworker. Stylus is an instrument for writing. PRS picked both on purpose.

Highlights

26.5” scale length built for a tight, defined low B

Figured mango top over mahogany in Fuchsia Aura

Stainless steel PRS Jumbo frets

16” radius ebony fingerboard, 24 frets

PRS Stylus SVN pickups, voiced for tube amps and digital rigs

PRS seven-string Hardtail bridge with Phase III locking tuners

PRS Premium Gig Bag included

Specifications

Body

Body Construction: Solidbody

Top Wood: Figured Mango

Back Wood: Mahogany

Top Carve: Shallow Violin

Color: Fuchsia Aura

Neck

Neck Wood: Maple

Neck Construction: Scarfed

Neck Shape: Modern “D” SVN

Number of Frets: 24

Fret Wire: PRS Jumbo

Fret Wire Material: Stainless Steel

Width of Fret Crown: .110”

Height of Fret Crown: .055”

Scale Length: 26.5”

Truss Rod: PRS Double-Acting

Neck Depth at the 1/2 Fret: 49/64”

Neck Depth at the 12 1/2 Fret: 27/32”

Neck Width at the Nut: 1 29/32”

Neck Width at the Body: 2 5/8”

Fretboard Wood: Ebony

Fretboard Radius: 16”

Fretboard Inlay: Offset Dots

Headstock Logo: Signature, Inlaid

Neck/Body Assembly: Bolt-On

Finish

Finish Type: High-Gloss Nitro

Neck Finish Type: Satin Nitro

Finish: Fuchsia Aura

Hardware

Bridge: PRS Hardtail, 7-String

Tuners: PRS Phase III Locking Tuners

Hardware Type: Smoked Black

Nut: PRS

Truss Rod Cover: Tekton

Included Accessories: PRS Premium Gig Bag

Electronics

Treble Pickup: PRS Stylus SVN

Bass Pickup: PRS Stylus SVN

Controls: Volume and Push/Pull Tone Control with 3-Way Blade Pickup Switch

Miscellaneous

Series: PRS Tekton

Strings: PRS Signature, 10-59

Tuning: 7-String: B, E, A, D, G, B, E

Why Buy from Tone Shop Guitars?

At Tone Shop Guitars, we specialize in hand-selected premium and Custom Shop instruments built for serious players and collectors.
