This limited-edition Grand Auditorium features a solid sinker cypress top paired with solid walnut back and sides, creating a distinctive acoustic voice with warmth, sweetness, and harmonic complexity. Scalloped V-Class bracing, the Action Control Neck, and Claria electronics provide modern performance, while comfort-enhancing body contours and elaborate wood and shell appointments distinguish this instrument from the standard 914ce.

The sinker cypress top contributes mellow, rounded trebles and a naturally expressive response, complementing the rich midrange and focused low end of the walnut back and sides. Walnut's strong fundamental character provides warmth and definition, while the cypress top adds sweetness and tonal complexity. Taylor's scalloped V-Class bracing enhances volume, sustain, and open-string resonance, allowing the Grand Auditorium body to respond with clarity and depth. This pairing offers a distinctive tonal alternative to more conventional spruce and rosewood combinations, particularly for players who appreciate a warm, nuanced acoustic response.

The mahogany Action Control Neck is designed to improve playing comfort while providing convenient adjustment of the guitar's action. Its satin finish offers a smooth feel, while the 25.5" scale length and 1 3/4" nut width provide familiar Taylor playability. A Crelicam ebony fingerboard features elaborate Sea Forest Vine inlays crafted from paua and Hawaiian koa, extending the instrument's natural aesthetic into the playing surface. Ebony fingerboard binding and koa purfling add further detail, while the beveled cutaway provides comfortable access to the upper register.

As a Builder's Edition instrument, the 914ce LTD incorporates carefully shaped body contours designed to improve comfort without compromising the guitar's traditional acoustic character. Chamfered body edges replace conventional body binding, while a beveled mahogany armrest softens the contact point between the player's arm and the guitar. The beveled cutaway provides a smooth transition into the upper frets. Black, koa, and paua purfling outlines the top and back, complemented by koa purfling along the fingerboard and peghead. A paua rosette and Gotoh 510 tuning machines in Antique Gold complete the premium appointments.

The guitar features Taylor's Claria electronics system, providing an integrated solution for amplified performance and recording. A full-gloss finish highlights the distinctive grain of the sinker cypress and walnut, with a shaded edgeburst across the top and Kona Burst on the back, sides, and neck. The combination of rich wood tones, detailed inlay work, and sculpted body contours gives this limited-edition 914ce a distinctive visual character. Supplied with a brown Taylor Deluxe hardshell case, the Next Generation Builder's Edition 914ce LTD offers a refined combination of tonewood character, comfort, and modern acoustic
