Built for players who want the power and depth of a rosewood dreadnought without giving up clarity, this Collings D2H pairs a Sunburst Sitka spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides in Collings’ refined 2-style build.

The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought body has the low-end authority and projection expected from the format, but the D2H stays fast and defined under a heavy right hand. The Sitka spruce top gives it a broad dynamic range, while the rosewood back and sides add depth, sustain, and harmonic detail.

This example features a 1 3/4" bone nut, giving it a slightly roomier feel than the standard D2H configuration. The Modified V neck, 25 1/2" scale length, compound-radius ebony fingerboard, and 2 3/16" bridge spacing keep the guitar comfortable for flatpicking, strumming, and more detailed fingerstyle work.

Classic 2-style Collings appointments include ivoroid binding with herringbone purfling, a zipper backstrip, abalone long diamonds and squares fingerboard inlays, tortoise pickguard, ebony bridge, nickel Waverly tuners, and a deluxe hardshell case.
