This example pairs an Old Growth Sitka spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering a strong fundamental, clear articulation, and a rich harmonic profile that holds together under both light and aggressive playing.

Built with Collings’ pre-war scalloped X-bracing and a 25 1/2" scale length, this D2H offers excellent headroom and projection while retaining clarity and note separation. Traditional appointments like herringbone purfling, abalone fingerboard inlays, and a tasteful sunburst finish complement the precise construction and consistently high standards Collings is known for.
