This Gibson Custom Dealer Select 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue takes the iconic ’59 Les Paul platform and adds two standout Tone Shop-spec’d changes: a chambered mahogany body and a Cobra Burst finish. The result is a Historic-style Les Paul with the familiar look, feel, and sound of a Gibson Custom Reissue, but with a more resonant chambered build and a bold custom finish that sets it apart from a standard run.

The body pairs a 2-piece figured maple top with a chambered mahogany body, giving the guitar the visual depth and attack players expect from a figured-top Les Paul while adding a more open, lively feel from the chambered construction. The Cobra Burst finish gives this Dealer Select a sharp, custom look without losing the classic Les Paul Standard attitude.

The solid mahogany neck features Gibson Custom’s 50s Rounded Medium C profile, long tenon hide glue fit, nylon nut, and Indian rosewood fingerboard with cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. The 24.75" scale length, 12" fingerboard radius, and Historic Medium-Jumbo frets keep the feel rooted in the late-’50s Les Paul experience.

Electronics are built around a pair of Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups, paired with CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors. The setup is clear, dynamic, and touch-sensitive, with the open vintage-style response that makes these reissues so useful across clean, edge-of-breakup, and driven tones.

Hardware includes an ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stop bar tailpiece, Kluson single line/single ring tuners, nickel hardware, gold butyrate top hat knobs, and vintage-correct style plastics. It includes a Brown/Pink Reissue 5-Latch case and Certificate of Authenticity.
