This Taylor Custom Gold Label Super Auditorium #501 was designed by Tone Shop Guitars, with the Adirondack spruce top and Cocobolo back and sides selected by our team at the Taylor factory. It is a high-end Gold Label build centered around one of the most visually dramatic and tonally compelling wood pairings in the run.

The Adirondack spruce top brings clarity, headroom, and a strong initial attack, while the Cocobolo back and sides add depth, sustain, and a rich overtone profile. Taylor’s Super Auditorium body keeps the response broad and balanced, giving this guitar the flexibility to move easily between fingerstyle work, heavier rhythm playing, flatpicking, and studio use.

Fanned V-Class bracing with Tonal Rout supports the build, while the hard rock maple neck features a Standard Carve profile, 25.5" scale length, and 1 11/16" nut width. The West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard is finished with mother-of-pearl 900 Series inlays, flamed maple binding, and a glossy ebony peghead with Paua and mother-of-pearl Nouveau inlay.

This #501 build has a Cocobolo single-ring rosette, engraved Ivoroid/Tortoise pickguard, Cocobolo backstrap, Gotoh 510 Antique Gold tuners, Taylor Claria electronics, and a British Cocoa Bronco Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case.
