The Epiphone Mike Dirnt Grabber G-3 Bass is a modern tribute to the classic Gibson Grabber G-3, designed in collaboration with Mike Dirnt, bassist and co-founder of Green Day. Known for his driving, melodic lines and high-energy stage presence, Dirnt helped shape the sound of punk rock’s modern era—and this instrument captures the essence of his tone and attitude.
Based on the same bass Dirnt has played across countless tours and on Green Day’s legendary 1994 album Dookie, the Grabber G-3 combines vintage design with upgraded components for professional performance. Its maple body and three-piece maple neck deliver punchy mids and articulate attack, while the three Gibson USA G-3 pickups—wired in a unique “buck-and-a-half” configuration—offer hum-free versatility and massive tone. From growling lows to cutting highs, this bass provides all the range and clarity demanded by modern players.
