Fender Santa Ana Overdrive V2

The Santa Ana V2 is a JFET-based Class-A overdrive pedal designed for touch-sensitive, high-headroom drive with the feel of a pushed Fender tube amp. Running at 18V internally, it gives players a wide range of gain textures, from tight natural overdrive to smoother, thicker lead tones.

The core drive circuit keeps things direct with Drive, Tone, and Level controls, plus a Voice switch for two distinct clipping characters. Voice A delivers a tighter, more natural drive response, while Voice B moves into a smoother, thicker lead voice. A rear-mounted Tight switch removes some pre-drive bass for a more focused feel.

A major part of the Santa Ana V2 is its independently switchable 3-band EQ. Active Bass, Middle, and Treble controls let you cut or boost each range, with center detents for flat response. The EQ Placement switch lets you run the EQ before or after the drive circuit, giving you two very different ways to shape the pedal.

Placed before the drive, the EQ changes how the overdrive reacts by deciding which frequencies hit the clipping circuit harder. Placed after the drive, it shapes the finished gain sound with a broader EQ effect. That flexibility makes the Santa Ana V2 easy to fine-tune for different guitars, amps, and gain needs.

With switchable true or buffered bypass, relay-based auto-bypass, top-mounted jacks, multiswitch-enabled footswitches, and a road-ready aluminum enclosure, the Santa Ana V2 is a flexible overdrive built for serious pedalboards.
