The Gibson Custom 1959 ES-330 Reissue brings one of Gibson’s most distinctive fully hollow designs back into the Historic Collection. Finished in Vintage Burst, this example captures the classic late-’50s ES-330 look with a lightweight, resonant build and the open acoustic character that separates it from an ES-335-style semi-hollow.

The fully hollow maple/poplar/maple body has no center block, giving this ES-330 a lively unplugged response, greater acoustic volume, and a more open voice than its semi-hollow cousins. At just 6 lb 2.9 oz, this one has the easy, comfortable feel that makes an ES-330 such a great guitar to pick up and play for long stretches.

The one-piece mahogany neck is carved to Gibson Custom’s Authentic 1959 profile, paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 12" radius, and 24.75" scale length. The neck joins the body at the 16th fret, staying true to the original 1959 construction and bridge placement.

A matched pair of P-90 pickups gives this ES-330 its clear, punchy, expressive voice. The bridge pickup uses a standard wind with an Alnico 3 magnet, while the underwound neck pickup uses an Alnico 5 magnet for a balanced range of sounds across all three switch positions. CTS potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, and a 3-way Switchcraft toggle keep the electronics rooted in vintage Gibson tradition.

Historic details include a no-wire ABR-1 bridge, trapeze tailpiece, black Dogear pickup covers, Kluson Deluxe tuners, gold Top Hat knobs, VOS hardware, and a Lifton reissue hardshell case.
