This Dealer Select ’57 Goldtop was built with Gibson Custom to capture the feel, response, and character of a great early Les Paul, but with chambered construction that makes it lighter, livelier, and easier to play night after night. It keeps the classic recipe: a two-piece maple top, mahogany body and neck, long-tenon construction, and the unmistakable Double Gold finish. The chambering opens up the midrange and adds an airy resonance without losing the punch and authority players expect from a ’50s-inspired Les Paul.

The neck is a comfortable ’50s Medium C carve with a long tenon for sustain and stability, paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, historic narrow/tall fretwire, and period-correct trapezoid inlays. The Custombucker pickups give the guitar the warm, articulate, dynamically rich tone you want from a PAF-style set — clear enough for delicate playing, strong enough to push an amp, and responsive in a way only Gibson’s unpotted Alnico III design pulls off. It’s the classic Goldtop voice, just paired with a guitar that feels more alive and less burdensome than a traditional solid-body build.
