The Martin DSS-17 Whiskey Sunset pairs vintage-inspired styling with the bold voice of a slope-shoulder dreadnought. Built with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it delivers a warm, powerful tone with strong low-end presence and a rounded midrange character. The slope-shoulder body softens the traditional dreadnought outline with elegant curves and a slightly narrower waist, giving the guitar a comfortable feel while maintaining the projection and depth expected from a large-body acoustic.

Scalloped spruce X-bracing enhances dynamic response and resonance, while the 25.4" scale length adds clarity and sustain. A Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper and a 1 3/4" nut width provides a smooth, modern playing feel. Finished in a distinctive Whiskey Sunset Burst with antique white binding and satin finish, the DSS-17 also features 1955 Style 18 mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays and aged nickel tuners for a vintage-inspired aesthetic.
