Boss Katana 25 Combo Amplifier

The BOSS Katana-25 Combo Amplifier brings the acclaimed sound and versatility of the Katana series into a compact 25-watt guitar amp designed for home practice, recording, and everyday playing. Built around BOSS Tube Logic technology, the Katana-25 delivers the dynamic response and expressive feel of a tube amplifier through a custom 8" speaker and reactive analog power section. Six amp characters with variations cover everything from sparkling cleans to saturated high-gain tones, while more than 60 onboard BOSS effects provide extensive creative possibilities. Integrated Bluetooth, companion app connectivity, and USB-C recording make the Katana-25 a complete practice and sound-design platform for guitarists of all experience levels.

The Katana-25 uses BOSS's advanced Tube Logic design philosophy to reproduce the tone, response, and playing dynamics associated with traditional tube amplifiers. Its 25-watt reactive analog power section works together with the custom 8" speaker and optimized open-back cabinet to deliver a full, balanced sound with defined bass, articulate highs, and responsive attack. Six distinct amplifier characters, each with variations, allow players to explore a broad range of musical styles, from clean rhythm playing and blues-inspired breakup to classic rock crunch and aggressive modern distortion. A dedicated acoustic-electric guitar character expands the amplifier's versatility for players who use multiple instruments.

More than 60 premium BOSS effects are available onboard, with the ability to run up to five effects simultaneously. This extensive effects library allows players to explore modulation, delay, reverb, and other sound-shaping options without requiring an external pedalboard. The straightforward control layout includes Gain, Volume, and three-band EQ controls for immediate tonal adjustments, while the Tone Setting section provides convenient access to saved sounds and effect configurations. The amplifier includes 20 ready-to-play presets and 10 additional memory locations for custom sounds. A dedicated tap tempo button allows delay effects to be synchronized with a song's rhythm, while the integrated tuner provides a convenient solution for everyday practice.

Selectable Power Control makes the Katana-25 particularly useful for home environments. Players can choose between the amplifier's full 25-watt output and a reduced 0.5-watt setting, allowing driven amplifier sounds to be enjoyed at more manageable listening levels. The custom speaker and open-back cabinet are designed to preserve clarity and responsiveness across both power settings. A dedicated headphone/recording output provides an additional option for quiet practice, making the Katana-25 suitable for apartments, bedrooms, and late-night playing sessions.

Integrated Bluetooth allows the Katana-25 to connect wirelessly with smartphones, tablets, and other compatible devices for audio streaming and companion app operation. Players can stream music directly through the amplifier to practice along with favorite songs, while the dedicated app provides deeper access to amplifier and effects parameters, custom sound creation, and preset management. The app's Session function supports YouTube videos and lessons, including automatic Tone Setting changes during playback. BOSS Tone Exchange integration also allows players to discover and share sounds with other Katana users. For recording, the class-compliant USB-C interface provides a direct connection to compatible computers and mobile devices.

The Katana-25 also supports expanded performance control through compatible BOSS footswitches and wireless controllers. An optional wired footswitch can be used to change Tone Settings hands-free, while compatible wireless footswitch and expression pedal options provide additional real-time control. The compact cabinet measures approximately 14 3/16" wide, 12 1/4" high, and 7 1/8" deep, making it easy to position in a home practice space or transport between locations. With its versatile amplifier characters, extensive effects selection, Bluetooth connectivity, and direct recording capabilities, the BOSS Katana-25 delivers an accessible and capable amplification system for players looking to develop their sound.
