Small-bodied guitars can reveal a lot about a builder, and the Collings 01 is a perfect example. Built around a 14-fret single 0 body, this guitar delivers the comfort and focus of a compact acoustic with the clarity, balance, and headroom Collings is known for.

The Sitka spruce top and Honduran mahogany back and sides give the 01 a warm, direct voice with strong note definition and a dry, fundamental character. Its smaller body size keeps the response controlled and intimate, making it a great choice for couch playing, recording, fingerstyle, light flatpicking, and vocal accompaniment.

The short 24 7/8" scale adds an easy feel under the left hand, while the ebony fingerboard, 14"–26" compound radius, and Modified V neck carve keep the guitar familiar and precise. The 1 11/16" nut width and 2 3/16" bridge spacing make it approachable without feeling cramped.
