The Collings I-35 LC in Faded Cherry is a refined take on the classic semi-hollow format, built around Collings’ proprietary laminate construction and a carefully voiced maple/spruce center block. The result is a compact, lightweight semi-hollow with the build quality and attention to detail Collings is known for.

The body uses maple laminate for the top, back, and sides, paired with a maple/spruce center block. Collings developed this laminate construction specifically for the LC platform, giving the guitar a more traditional semi-hollow character while maintaining excellent structural consistency and acoustic response.

A Honduran mahogany neck is joined to the body with an extra-long mortise-and-tenon joint. The rosewood fingerboard features a 12" radius, mother-of-pearl long dot inlays, medium nickel-silver frets, a 1 11/16" nut, and a 24 7/8" scale length.

Electronics center around a pair of Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers with CTS 500K potentiometers, Jupiter Vintage Yellow capacitors, and traditional ’50s-style wiring. The straightforward dual-humbucker layout gives the I-35 LC a familiar control platform with premium components throughout.

Nickel hardware includes a Kluson ABR-1 bridge, Kluson Stop Tailpiece, and Gotoh tuners with Collings logos. Non-grained ivoroid body and fingerboard binding, an ebony peghead veneer with mother-of-pearl Collings logo, black/cream/black plastics, and a high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish complete the build. A Collings deluxe hardshell case is included.
