Collings D2H Natural Sitka/Rosewood w/Case 36804

The Collings D2H brings classic rosewood dreadnought power into a refined, highly responsive build with the clarity and balance Collings is known for. Built with a Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, this D2H has the depth, projection, and headroom players expect from a great square-shouldered dreadnought, with a focused low end and strong note separation that keep it controlled under a heavy right hand.

The D2H’s pre-war scalloped X-bracing helps give the guitar an open, dynamic response, making it a strong fit for flatpicking, strumming, and vocal accompaniment. It has the authority to sit confidently in a bluegrass setting, but still has the detail and balance needed for more nuanced acoustic work.

This example also features a 1 3/4" nut width, giving the left hand a little extra room compared to the standard D2H spec. Paired with the Modified V neck profile, compound-radius ebony fingerboard, and 25 1/2" scale length, it offers a comfortable and controlled playing feel across the neck.

Appointments are classic D2H throughout, including herringbone top purfling, ivoroid body binding, abalone long diamond and squares fingerboard inlays, a 2-style zipper backstrip, tortoise pickguard, nickel Waverly tuners, and a deluxe hardshell case.
