The Hill Country series takes Collings’ flagship D2H platform and gives it a more open, relaxed voice straight out of the case. This D2HA pairs an Adirondack spruce top with East Indian rosewood and the lighter, warmer Hill Country voicing—more bloom in the lows, a sweeter high end, and a touch less tension under the pick than the standard D2H. It still has the clarity and punch Collings is known for, just with a little more air and vintage-inspired softness.

If you want a dreadnought that feels broken-in without sacrificing Collings precision, the Hill Country Adirondack build is one of the most compelling ways to get there.
