This Fender Custom Shop Dealer Select ’52 Telecaster delivers a refined take on the earliest solidbody workhorse, built with a lightweight chambered ash body and period-inspired Blackguard appointments. Finished in Journeyman Relic Butterscotch Blonde, it captures the look of a naturally aged early Tele without pushing into heavy distressing. Subtle wear, lightly checked nitrocellulose lacquer, and aged chrome hardware complete the look.

The flat-sawn maple neck is carved to a substantial ’52-style “U” profile, with rolled fingerboard edges adding a comfortably broken-in feel. A 9.5" radius and Narrow Tall frets introduce a few modern concessions while retaining the character of an early-’50s Telecaster.

Hand-Wound ’50–’51 Blackguard pickups handle the electronics, paired with modern Tele wiring and a traditional three-way selector. The chambered ash construction is another notable departure from a standard ’52-style build, bringing the weight down while maintaining the familiar Blackguard foundation.
