Magnatone Baby M-80 12w 1x10 Tube Combo Amp Slash Purple Python

The Magnatone Baby M-80 12W 1x10 Tube Combo Amp in Slash Purple Python brings British-inspired tube tone to a compact, performance-ready amplifier with distinctive signature styling. Built around a pair of NOS GE 6AQ5/6005 power tubes and a three-12AX7 preamp, the Baby M-80 delivers 12 watts of dynamic, harmonically rich output through a 10" WGS ceramic speaker. Its dual LO and HI gain modes cover everything from full-bodied cleans to saturated overdrive, while a master volume provides control over the amplifier's output. Finished in Slash Purple Python with a backlit Magnatone logo, this compact combo combines distinctive visual character with the responsive feel and versatility of an all-tube amplifier.

The Baby M-80's power section uses two NOS GE 6AQ5/6005 pentode tubes to produce 12 watts of output with a responsive, harmonically complex character. These tubes provide the foundation for the amplifier's full-bodied clean tones and natural overdrive response, allowing the sound to change dynamically with picking intensity and guitar volume adjustments. The British-influenced circuit emphasizes articulate midrange, rich harmonic content, and a direct playing feel that works well with both single-coil and humbucking pickups. Despite its compact dimensions, the Baby M-80 is designed to deliver enough output for rehearsals, recording sessions, and appropriately sized live performances.

A three-12AX7 preamp provides two selectable gain modes, allowing players to tailor the amplifier's response to different musical styles. LO mode emphasizes clean headroom and dynamic clarity, making it suitable for articulate rhythm playing, expressive blues, and pedal-based setups. HI mode introduces additional preamp gain for thicker overdrive, saturated leads, and aggressive British-inspired crunch. The master volume allows players to balance gain and overall output, making it possible to explore driven tones without relying exclusively on high listening levels. This combination gives the Baby M-80 a broad range of sounds while maintaining the immediacy and touch sensitivity associated with tube amplification.

The combo is equipped with a 10" WGS ceramic-magnet speaker, selected to complement the amplifier's 12-watt output and focused tonal character. The speaker provides a direct, articulate response that supports both clean playing and overdriven sounds, while the compact cabinet makes the amplifier practical for smaller stages, home studios, and rehearsal spaces. An onboard effects loop allows time-based effects, modulation pedals, and other outboard processors to be integrated into the signal path, providing additional flexibility for players who use pedalboards or external effects.

The Slash Purple Python finish gives this Baby M-80 a distinctive appearance that stands apart from conventional amplifier coverings. A backlit Magnatone logo completes the presentation, combining the brand's traditional visual identity with the amplifier's bold signature-inspired styling. Measuring 18" wide, 15" high, and 9" deep, the combo weighs approximately 28 pounds, making it manageable for transportation between rehearsals, sessions, and performances. With its NOS tube complement, dual gain modes, master volume, effects loop, and compact 1x10 configuration, the Magnatone Baby M-80 Slash Purple Python offers a versatile all-tube platform for players seeking classic British-influenced sounds in a smaller amplifier.
