Created to celebrate 100 years since Martin introduced lacquer finishing in 1926, the Custom Shop 0-18K2 CFM IV draws inspiration from the small-bodied all-koa Martins that were among the first instruments to receive the new finish.

The 0-12 fret body is built entirely from solid flamed koa, with a Vintage Gloss finish developed to closely reference the depth and luster of Martin’s early lacquer-finished instruments. The figured koa gives each guitar a distinctive appearance while keeping this limited model closely tied to the instruments that inspired it.

Under the hood, Martin pairs traditional X-bracing with hand-shaped GE scalloped braces. A GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, 24.9" scale length, 1-3/4" nut width, and ebony fingerboard give the guitar familiar Martin playability within its compact 12-fret format.

Golden Age Relic Brass tuners, Old Style 18 fingerboard inlays, an ebony bridge, and bone saddle complete the vintage-inspired package. Limited to only 100 instruments, the 0-18K2 CFM IV is both a celebration of an important moment in Martin history and a striking showcase for flamed koa.
