Designed by Tone Shop Guitars and built by the Martin Custom Shop, this exclusive 18 Style Dreadnought is the result of our team's visit to the Martin factory, where we personally selected every set of sinker mahogany and specified the build from the ground up. Inspired by the timeless D-18, we elevated the platform with an Adirondack spruce top, Golden Era construction, and premium appointments to create a dreadnought with exceptional clarity, headroom, and responsiveness.

The combination of an Adirondack spruce top and hand-selected sinker mahogany back and sides delivers the dry, woody voice that has made vintage mahogany Martins legendary, while adding greater depth and harmonic complexity. Forward-shifted, Golden Era hand-shaped scalloped Adirondack bracing allows the guitar to respond effortlessly to a light touch while retaining the power and projection needed for aggressive flatpicking.

A Modified V neck with High Performance Taper provides a comfortable blend of vintage character and modern playability. Traditional Style 18 appointments—including an Old Style 18 rosette, ebony fingerboard and bridge, faux tortoise binding and pickguard, aging toner, and vintage-style Grover StaTite tuners—complete a guitar that feels both familiar and unmistakably special. This is a true Tone Shop exclusive, built from woods we hand-selected alongside the Martin Custom Shop.
