About This Guitar

This Martin Custom Shop 45 Style OM puts a striking black-finished Adirondack spruce top at the center of a traditionally appointed Style 45 build. East Indian rosewood back and sides, extensive select abalone pearl, and gold Waverly tuners give it the full presentation expected from Martin’s highest decorative style while keeping the proportions and long-scale feel of a 14-fret OM.

The Adirondack spruce top is supported by 1/4" Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, also made from Adirondack spruce. Vintage hide glue construction and a dovetail neck joint further anchor the build in Martin’s traditional approach, while the East Indian rosewood back and sides provide the classic Style 45 wood pairing.

A genuine mahogany neck uses Martin’s GE Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper and a 25.4" scale. The black ebony fingerboard has a 16" radius, 1 3/4" bone nut, and long Style 45 Snowflake inlays in select abalone.

Style 45 detailing extends around the body with select abalone pearl along the top perimeter, back, sides, endpiece, and rosette. The East Indian rosewood headplate is bound and finished with a Golden Era C.F. Martin block inlay in select abalone.

A black ebony GE Modern Belly bridge, compensated bone saddle, bone bridge pins with paua accents, and gold Waverly tuners complete the build. A Martin 5-ply hardshell case and Custom Shop Credentials Book are included.
