PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition Sandglow Yellow

The PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition in Sandglow Yellow combines the U.S.-made Silver Sky platform with one of four heritage Defender colors selected for this collaboration with John Mayer. Sandglow Yellow references Defender’s history of expedition travel and the Trophy and Challenge events associated with the marque. Production is limited to 500 guitars worldwide in this finish.

The alder body has a flat top and high-gloss nitro finish, paired with white plastics and a matching Sandglow Yellow headstock. The bolt-on maple neck uses the 635 JM-R profile, and the rosewood fingerboard has a 7.25" radius, 22 PRS medium frets and Small Bird inlays. Scale length is 25.5", with a bone nut and PRS double-acting truss rod.

Three PRS 635JM single-coil pickups are wired to a five-way blade selector, one volume and two tone controls. Hardware includes the PRS Steel Tremolo with Gen III knife-edge screws, vintage-style locking tuners and nickel hardware.

Each Sandglow Yellow guitar carries a unique Defender neck plate marked with the finish name and “1 of 500.” The limited-edition presentation is completed by an included PRS ATA molded case with custom Defender badging.
