EarthQuaker Devices Blumes Jr MOSFET Mod Low Signal Shredder

The EarthQuaker Devices Blumes Jr MOSFET Mod Low Signal Shredder takes the low-end-focused Blumes platform, shrinks it down, and adds a dedicated MOSFET clipping mode. Built for players who want the deeper bass response and higher gain of Blumes in a smaller format, it retains the familiar three-control layout while adding another distinct clipping option.

Like the original Blumes, the Jr version starts with the Plumes-inspired circuit but pushes it further with roughly double the gain and a deeper bass response. At lower gain settings, it retains the crunchy drive character associated with the platform; above noon, the added gain and low-end emphasis become much more pronounced.

Three clipping modes provide different levels of compression, openness, and saturation. L mode uses symmetrical LED clipping for a crunchy, focused response. N mode removes clipping for a wide-open OpAmp drive and clean-boost-style sound. The new M mode introduces MOSFET clipping with a tighter, harmonically rich voice, more low end, and a response inspired by a cranked modern tube amp.

Gain, Tone, and Level controls keep the interface straightforward. The Tone control moves from fuller bass through the mids and into a brighter top end, while mechanical true bypass switching keeps the signal path simple.
