EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod Tone Shop Custom Candy Apple Red

The EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod Small Signal Shredder takes the familiar Plumes platform, shrinks it down, and adds a new MOSFET clipping mode for a tighter, more modern response. This Tone Shop-exclusive version is finished in Candy Apple Red, giving the limited-run pedal a colorway unique to Tone Shop Guitars.

The core Plumes control layout remains intact with Gain, Tone, and Level controls, but the three-way clipping toggle gives the Jr MOSFET Mod its expanded range. The L and N modes retain the familiar Plumes voices, while the new M mode introduces MOSFET clipping with a tighter, more focused feel, richer harmonic content, and a stronger low-end response.

L mode uses symmetrical LED clipping for a crunchy, compressed, focused drive. N mode removes clipping from the signal path for a wide-open OpAmp drive that can also work as a clean boost. M mode brings in the MOSFET Mod, delivering a more modern high-gain-inspired overdrive character while keeping the familiar mid-forward Plumes foundation.

The Tone control remains useful across its entire range, moving from fuller lows through the midrange and into a brighter top end without stripping away the core character of the pedal. Mechanical true bypass switching keeps the signal path straightforward.
