The Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul in Obsidian Storm Satin takes the familiar single-cutaway design in a modern direction with a fast-playing neck, extended scale length, and versatile Fishman Fluence electronics. Its mahogany body features Ultra Modern weight relief, a maple cap, and a figured flamed maple veneer finished in Obsidian Storm Satin. Black nickel hardware, black pickup covers, and dark block inlays reinforce the guitar's contemporary appearance.

The body combines traditional Les Paul construction with practical ergonomic updates. Ultra Modern weight relief helps reduce overall weight, while a Modern Contoured Heel improves access to the upper frets. A rear belly contour makes the instrument more comfortable against the player's body. The maple cap and figured veneer add visual texture beneath the dark satin finish, with multi-ply top binding providing a contrasting outline.

The one-piece thermally aged maple neck features graphite reinforcement rods and a streamlined HyperGlide profile designed for speed and precision. Its satin finish provides a smooth playing surface, while the 25.5" scale length delivers increased string tension and articulation compared with a traditional Les Paul scale. The ebony fingerboard features a 10"–14" compound radius, 24 stainless steel frets, and black mother-of-pearl block inlays. Single-ply fingerboard binding and a multi-ply-bound headstock with Epiphone's Custom split diamond inlay complete the neck appointments.

Custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups provide a broad range of sounds suited to modern and traditional playing styles. Developed specifically for the Prophecy series, the humbuckers offer modern high-output active tones, vintage-inspired PAF-style sounds, and clear single-coil-inspired articulation. Individual push/pull volume controls activate coil-splitting functions, while push/pull tone controls select pickup voicings. A three-way toggle provides familiar pickup selection.

The hardware includes a LockTone Modern bridge and a string-through-body tailpiece inspired by the Frequensator design. This arrangement is engineered to balance string tension while providing sustain and smooth bending response. Locking Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut support tuning stability, and black nickel hardware complements the Obsidian Storm Satin finish. A Protector Ultralite case is included.
