Epiphone Prophecy Victory FR Obsidian Storm Satin w/bag

The Epiphone Prophecy Victory FR in Obsidian Storm Satin combines the distinctive Victory body design with modern electronics, premium hardware, and a performance-focused neck. Part of Epiphone's redesigned Prophecy series, this solidbody electric guitar features a mahogany body with highly figured flamed maple veneer, a thermally aged maple neck, and a pair of custom-voiced Fishman Fluence humbuckers. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking tremolo provides expressive pitch control, while the dark Obsidian Storm Satin finish and black hardware give the instrument an understated, aggressive appearance.

The mahogany body provides a solid tonal foundation with strong sustain and a focused midrange response. Its highly figured flamed maple veneer adds texture beneath the dark satin finish, creating subtle visual contrast across the carved-looking grain pattern. Multi-ply top binding outlines the Victory body shape, while the distinctive double-cutaway design gives the guitar a recognizable silhouette. The combination of traditional mahogany construction and contemporary appointments makes the Prophecy Victory FR well suited to players who want modern functionality without abandoning familiar electric guitar materials.

The one-piece thermally aged maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods to improve stability and resist movement over time. Its satin finish and HyperGlide profile provide a smooth, fast playing feel, while the 25.5" scale length helps maintain string definition and tension for modern playing styles. A bound ebony fingerboard features a 10"–14" compound radius, providing a comfortable surface for chords near the nut and a flatter radius for bends and technical lead playing higher up the neck. Twenty-four stainless steel frets offer durability and consistent feel, while black mother-of-pearl dot inlays maintain the instrument's restrained appearance. A multi-ply-bound Explorer-style headstock with a mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo completes the design.

The Prophecy Victory FR features two custom-voiced Fishman Fluence humbuckers developed specifically for Epiphone's Prophecy series. Their three available voices provide a wide range of sounds, from high-output modern active humbucker tones to vintage-inspired PAF-style character and clear single-coil-style articulation. Push/pull master volume and tone controls provide access to these voices, while the three-way pickup selector allows players to use either pickup independently or combine them. The resulting tonal flexibility makes the guitar suitable for high-gain rhythm work, articulate lead playing, and more traditional clean or overdriven sounds.

A Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo and Floyd Rose R3 locking nut provide the tuning stability required for demanding tremolo techniques. Locking Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines offer dependable tuning adjustment, while black nickel hardware, black pickup covers, and knurled knobs complement the Obsidian Storm Satin finish. With its combination of a reinforced neck, stainless steel frets, multi-voice pickups, and professional tremolo hardware, the Epiphone Prophecy Victory FR is designed for players who prioritize speed, precision, and tonal versatility. A Protector Ultralite case is included for storage and transportation.
