EVH Limited Edition Wolfgang Special Striped Series Ebony Distressed Ivory w/bag

This Limited Edition Wolfgang Special pays tribute to the distressed Ivory-over-black Wolfgang Eddie Van Halen used during the 2015 A Different Kind of Truth tour. The deliberately worn finish recreates the appearance of that touring instrument, pairing the familiar Wolfgang silhouette with a distinctive distressed treatment and performance-focused EVH hardware.

The basswood body is paired with a graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck using the Wolfgang backshape and a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish. Its ebony fingerboard has a 12"-16" compound radius and 22 jumbo frets, while the heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel allows quick neck-relief adjustments. The neck measures .805" at the third fret and .890" at the 12th.

Two direct-mounted EVH Wolfgang humbuckers handle the electronics. The control layout uses a 500K EVH Bourns low-friction volume pot with treble bleed for quick volume changes and a 250K high-friction tone pot designed to resist accidental movement. A three-position toggle selects the pickups, and a momentary kill switch adds another performance control.

An EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo and R2 locking nut provide the double-locking system, with an EVH D-Tuna for quickly moving the low E string to Drop D. The bridge also uses a brass tremolo block, while EVH-branded Gotoh tuners, chrome hardware and oversized strap buttons complete the setup. An EVH Striped Series gig bag is included.
