The Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster is a period-correct recreation of one of the most refined early Strat designs. Built with an alder body and finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, it captures the tone, feel, and visual character of a true 1961 Strat.
A 1961 “C”-shape maple neck paired with a 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard delivers the comfortable, broken-in feel players associate with early-’60s Fenders. Three Pure Vintage ’61 Strat single-coil pickups provide clear highs, woody mids, and tight, responsive low end. Vintage-accurate hardware—including a synchronized tremolo with cold rolled steel block and bent steel saddles—rounds out an instrument built to stay true to the original design.
