This Fender Custom Shop TSG Exclusive 1960 Telecaster Custom represents a purpose-built design developed during our most recent trip to the Fender Custom Shop. Every detail — from the neck selection to the pickup configuration — was intentionally chosen by our team to create a Tele that delivers vintage character with a more responsive, modern feel.

At the core is a chambered ash body, adding a level of resonance and openness not typically found in a traditional Telecaster while also reducing overall weight. The result is a more dynamic, lively instrument that responds effortlessly to both clean articulation and driven tones. The relic finish work provides the broken-in feel of a well-played vintage guitar without overdoing the aging.

A defining feature of this run is the hand-selected necks, chosen in person by our team for both visual character and feel. These necks offer a comfortable, vintage-inspired profile with rolled edges and a smooth nitro finish, making the guitar feel immediately familiar and easy to play.

The 1960 Telecaster Custom platform pairs a traditional Tele bridge pickup with a warmer neck pickup configuration, delivering a broader tonal palette than a standard Tele. From classic Tele snap and bite to fuller, rounder neck tones, this setup makes the guitar incredibly versatile across genres.
