The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition "P" Jazz Bass Relic combines the familiar feel and styling of a Jazz Bass with the focused, authoritative voice of a hand-wound ’57 Precision Bass pickup. Part of the Fender Custom Shop 2024 Limited Collection, this distinctive build features a lightweight-sorted two-piece ash body finished in Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst with a Relic Flash Coat lacquer treatment and heavy checking for an authentically aged appearance.

The custom quarter-sawn maple neck features a ’60 Jazz Bass “U” profile measuring .790" at the first fret and .990" at the 12th fret. A quarter-sawn maple slab fingerboard with a vintage 7.25" radius, Vintage Upgrade 45085 fret wire, bone nut, medium-tint Flash Coat lacquer finish, and heavy fret ghosting further reinforce its vintage-inspired character.

Electronics are deliberately simple and focused, with a hand-wound ’57 P-Bass Relic pickup providing the sole voice. Relic chrome/nickel hardware, vintage-style bass tuning machines, a P/J Bass bridge assembly, Vintage Jazz Bass headstock decal, Limited Edition decal, and a third strap button on the back of the headstock complete this unusual Custom Shop configuration.
