About This Guitar

Serial: LXX0803

This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Roasted ’54 Stratocaster pulls together a particularly strong set of early-’50s details, led by a roasted quartersawn maple neck, ’55 Desert Tan finish, and Journeyman Relic treatment. It stays visually rooted in the original Strat era while adding a few carefully chosen modern playability updates.

The two-piece ash body uses 1954-style routing and body contours, including the specified off-center treble-side construction. The ’55 Desert Tan lacquer finish receives Fender’s Journeyman Relic treatment, giving it the look of a well-kept vintage instrument with restrained wear. A relic’d gold anodized aluminum 8-hole pickguard adds another distinctly period-inspired detail.

The roasted quartersawn maple neck uses Fender’s 70th Anniversary ’54 Strat profile, measuring .940" at the first fret and .970" at the 12th. A 9.5" fingerboard radius and 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets make it more accommodating than a strict vintage-radius build, while the 1.625" bone nut, maple skunk stripe, small ’54-style headstock, and vintage Fender-logo tuners keep the specification firmly tied to the period.

Three Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound ’54 Strat pickups are paired with vintage-style Strat controls and a 5-way CRL selector. White ABS pickup covers and control plastics retain the traditional appearance, while 250K pots complete the electronics package.

A relic’d Custom Shop vintage Strat tremolo, vintage-style output jack, ’50s-style disk string tree, 70th Anniversary neck plate, and relic’d hardware finish complete the build. It includes a Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Stratocaster case.
