Fender Custom Shop LTD 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Candy Tangerine w/case XN4863

Serial: XN4863
Weight: 6lb 13.3oz

A Tone Shop Guitars Exclusive, this Fender Custom Shop Limited 70th Anniversary ’54 Stratocaster pairs the early Strat formula with a standout Candy Tangerine finish and a carefully chosen mix of vintage construction and modern playability. The Journeyman Relic treatment keeps the aging restrained, while the AAA flame maple neck gives this build a particularly strong visual identity.

The two-piece ash body uses an off-center treble-side seam along with 1954 Stratocaster routing and ’54 body contours. Candy Tangerine lacquer covers the body, while a relic’d single-ply white .070" pickguard, white ABS plastics, and chrome/nickel hardware keep the rest of the presentation clean and period-focused.

The one-piece AAA flame maple neck uses Fender’s ’57 Style Soft “V” profile, measuring .850" at the first fret and .990" at the 12th. A 7.25"-9.5" compound radius and 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets add a more forgiving playing surface without losing the feel of an early Strat. The neck is finished with a 1.625" bone nut, black Micarta side dots, small headstock, and vintage-style Fender tuners.

Three Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound Fat ’50s Strat pickups handle the electronics. They’re paired with vintage ’54-’58-style Strat controls, 250K pots, and a five-way CRL selector, retaining the traditional Strat layout while giving access to all five pickup combinations.

A Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, 70th Anniversary neck plate, white PVA backplate with serial number, and vintage-style hardware complete the build. It includes a Fender Custom Shop hardshell case, special case candy kit, and Certificate of Authenticity.
