This Fender Custom Shop TSG Exclusive 1962 Jazzmaster was designed around a chambered alder body, Seminole Red Journeyman Relic finish, and a AAA rosewood fingerboard. It keeps the unmistakable look and layout of an early-’60s Jazzmaster while adding a few carefully chosen Tone Shop specs that set it apart from a traditional reissue.

The two-piece alder body is chambered and finished in Seminole Red with Fender Custom Shop’s Journeyman Relic treatment and thin nitrocellulose lacquer. The restrained aging gives the finish some broken-in character while keeping the focus on the custom color and classic offset silhouette.

The maple neck uses a ’62 Jazzmaster profile measuring approximately .820" at the first fret and .900" at the 12th. A round-lam AAA rosewood fingerboard features a 9.5" radius, 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets, a 1.650" bone nut, and micarta white position markers.

A pair of Fender Custom Shop hand-wound Jazzmaster pickups with flat magnets handles the electronics. The traditional offset hardware package includes a relic RSD Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge, Jazzmaster tremolo, aged white tremolo arm tip, and vintage-style Fender-logo tuners.

A four-ply Jazzmaster pickguard, chrome/nickel hardware, and Fender Custom Shop Jaguar/Jazzmaster brown hardshell case complete the build.
