Designed by Tone Shop Guitars with the Fender Custom Shop, this exclusive ’52 Telecaster takes the early-’50s Blackguard formula somewhere very different. A chambered ash body, Chartreuse Sparkle finish, and Journeyman Relic treatment give it a combination you simply don’t see on a traditional ’52-style Tele.

The two-piece ash body is chambered beneath the sparkle finish and paired with chrome and nickel hardware. Fender’s Journeyman aging keeps the wear restrained, while a ’51 Nocaster-style pickguard and period-inspired Tele hardware preserve the early-’50s foundation underneath the custom finish.

The maple neck uses Fender’s substantial ’52 Style “U” profile, measuring .900" at the first fret and .990" at the 12th. A modernized 9.5" radius and 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets make the playing surface considerably more accommodating than a strict vintage reproduction, while rolled fingerboard edges add a broken-in feel.

A pair of Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound ’50-’51 Blackguard Tele pickups handles the electronics. They’re paired with Modern Tele controls, giving this build the classic two-pickup Tele layout with straightforward, familiar operation.

Vintage-style Fender-logo tuners, a ’51-’54 Tele bridge, bone nut, vintage-style output hardware, and a Custom Shop Strat/Tele tweed case complete the build. It is unmistakably rooted in 1952, but the chambered construction and Chartreuse Sparkle finish make this a Tone Shop Custom Shop design with its own identity.
