Fender John 5 Phantom Telecaster Black

The Fender John 5 Phantom Telecaster takes John 5’s long-running connection with the Telecaster platform and reshapes it around a high-output HH configuration, double-locking tremolo, and stripped-down controls. The Nyatoh body is finished in Black, with gloss urethane on the top and satin urethane on the back, while the matching black Telecaster headstock completes the monochromatic design.

The maple neck uses a Custom John 5 Medium “C” profile with a satin finish and traditional 25.5" scale. Fender’s detailed specifications list an ebony fingerboard with a 12" radius, 22 Narrow Tall frets, white dot inlays, and a 1.69" Floyd Rose Special locking nut. This combination gives the Phantom a substantially more modern playing setup than a traditional Telecaster.

A pair of DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers handles the electronics, with matching pickups in the neck and bridge positions. The control layout is deliberately minimal, consisting of a single master volume, three-position pickup toggle, and dedicated kill switch.

The Floyd Rose FRTS2000 double-locking two-point tremolo provides the bridge system, complemented by Deluxe cast/sealed locking tuners. Black hardware, a one-ply anodized pickguard, black pickup covers, and a signature neck plate complete this John 5 Artist Signature model.
