About This Item
Gibson ’57 Classic Double Black
Overview
Introduced in 1990, the Gibson ’57 Classic was designed to faithfully recreate the tone and construction of late-’50s Patent Applied For humbuckers. Built with Alnico 2 magnets and balanced coils, it delivers warm, full-bodied tone with smooth highs, clear mids, and a tight, musical low end.
With its even response and classic humbucker crunch, the ’57 Classic works equally well in the neck or bridge position. The balanced coils provide a creamy, refined character along with excellent hum cancellation. Fully wax potted to prevent microphonic feedback, it’s a dependable choice for players chasing authentic vintage Gibson voice.
