Gibson Acoustic Southern Jumbo Original Vintage Sunburst LR Baggs Hi-Fi DNA w/case

The Gibson Southern Jumbo Original builds on Gibson’s round-shoulder acoustic platform with more elaborate appointments and the addition of Gibson-exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA electronics. Its solid Sitka spruce top is paired with solid mahogany back and sides and traditional scalloped X-bracing, while multi-ply binding on both the top and back and a Vintage Sunburst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish give the model its distinctive presentation.

The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper profile and compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. Its rosewood fingerboard has a 12" radius, 20 standard frets and mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. Double-antiqued multi-ply binding, nickel open-back tuners and mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and crown headstock inlays further distinguish the Southern Jumbo from its J-45 counterpart.

A traditional belly-up rosewood bridge is fitted with a bone saddle and TUSQ bridge pins, while a bone nut accompanies the 24.75" scale. A 50s-style tortoise pickguard completes the vintage-inspired appointments.

The Baggs HiFi DNA system uses two lightweight sensors mounted to the internal bridge plate, each paired with an individually optimized preamp. Discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls provide convenient adjustment while keeping the exterior of the guitar uncluttered. A Gibson hardshell case is included.
