The Gibson Custom 1962 ES-330 Reissue brings the fully hollow ES-330 into its early-’60s form, pairing the open acoustic character of the model with the slimmer neck profile and small-block inlays that defined the era. Finished in Sixties Cherry, this example delivers one of the most recognizable vintage Gibson looks in a lightweight 6 lb 4.8 oz build.

The fully hollow maple/poplar/maple body has no center block, giving the guitar more unplugged volume and a more open, resonant response than an ES-335-style semi-hollow. It has the lively character that makes an ES-330 especially rewarding for Americana, blues, country, jazz, ’60s pop, roots rock, and lower-gain electric work.

The one-piece mahogany neck is carved to Gibson Custom’s SlimTaper 60s C profile. Compared to the more substantial 1959 version, this one has a sleeker feel in the hand, paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard, small-block inlays, 12" radius, and 24.75" scale length.

A matched pair of P-90 pickups gives this ES-330 a clear, punchy voice with plenty of touch sensitivity. The bridge pickup uses a standard wind with an Alnico 3 magnet, while the underwound neck pickup uses an Alnico 5 magnet for a balanced spread of tones. CTS potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, and a 3-way Switchcraft toggle complete the electronics package.

Historic details include a no-wire ABR-1 bridge, trapeze tailpiece, black Dogear pickup covers, Kluson Deluxe tuners with white buttons, black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts, VOS hardware, and a Lifton reissue hardshell case.
