This Gibson Custom Dealer Select 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue takes the legendary ’59 Les Paul platform and gives it a custom Dealer Select treatment with a Golden Poppy finish and AAA figured maple top. It has the classic Historic Reissue foundation players look for, with a standout top and a bold finish that separates it from a standard run.

The body pairs an AAA figured maple top with a 1-piece lightweight mahogany back, built with no weight relief for the full Historic Reissue experience. The Golden Poppy finish brings out the figure in the maple while giving the guitar a warm, custom look that still feels right at home on a ’59-style Les Paul.

The solid mahogany neck features Gibson Custom’s 50s Rounded Medium C profile, long tenon hide glue fit, nylon nut, and Indian rosewood fingerboard with cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. The 24.75" scale length, 12" fingerboard radius, and Historic Medium-Jumbo frets keep the playing feel rooted in the late-’50s Les Paul world.

Electronics are built around a pair of Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups, paired with CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors. The result is open, dynamic, and touch-sensitive, with the vintage-style response that makes these Custom Shop ’59s so useful across clean, edge-of-breakup, and driven tones.

Hardware includes an ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stop bar tailpiece, Kluson single line/single ring tuners, nickel hardware, gold butyrate top hat knobs, and vintage-correct style plastics. It includes a Brown/Pink Reissue 5-Latch case and Certificate of Authenticity.
