This Gibson Custom Dealer Select 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue was built around a handpicked AAA figured maple top selected by Tone Shop Guitars at the Gibson factory. Finished in Tejas Burst VOS, it takes the classic ’59 Historic foundation and gives it a top and finish combination that stands apart from a standard run.

The handpicked AAA maple top is the centerpiece here, chosen by our team for its figure and movement beneath the Tejas Burst finish. Underneath, the guitar stays true to the familiar Historic Reissue recipe: a 1-piece lightweight mahogany back with no weight relief, single-ply Royalite binding, and Gibson Custom’s VOS nitrocellulose finish treatment.

The solid mahogany neck features Gibson Custom’s 50s Rounded Medium C profile, paired with a long tenon hide glue fit, nylon nut, and Indian rosewood fingerboard with cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. The 24.75" scale length, 12" fingerboard radius, and Historic Medium-Jumbo frets give it the substantial, familiar feel players expect from a great ’59-style Les Paul.

A pair of Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups delivers the open, dynamic response that makes these Historic Reissues so special. CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, and a 3-way Switchcraft toggle keep the electronics package direct and vintage-correct.

Nickel hardware includes an ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stop bar tailpiece, and Kluson single line/single ring tuners. It ships with a Brown/Pink Reissue 5-Latch case and Certificate of Authenticity.
