Designed with Gibson Custom specifically for Tone Shop Guitars, this Dealer Select 1965 Non-Reverse Firebird captures the unmistakable attitude of the mid-’60s originals but adds a few deliberate tweaks to dial in tone, feel, and stage-ready personality. Finished in Ember Red and aged lightly by the Murphy Lab, it has that worn-in, well-loved look without going over the top — the kind of guitar that feels familiar from day one.

This build sticks with the classic non-reverse recipe: solid mahogany construction, long 24 3/4" scale, a comfortable reissue neck carve, and the unmistakable P-90 voice. The dual black P-90s offer punch, presence, and grit, with enough warmth and midrange texture to jump between blues, rock, and alternative without missing a step. Nickel hardware is treated with Ultra Light Aging to match the vibe, and the non-reverse Firebird layout means easy weight balance and a slightly rounder tonal character than the reverse-body Firebirds of ’63–’65.
