The Gibson Custom Les Paul Standard in Translucent Blue takes the Les Paul formula in a more contemporary direction while retaining the construction and craftsmanship associated with Gibson Custom. A figured maple top, full-gloss Translucent Blue finish, and modern appointments give this build a distinctly different look from Gibson’s Historic Reissue lineup.

The mahogany body uses traditional nine-hole weight relief and is capped with figured AA maple. A gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish highlights the figuring beneath the Translucent Blue color, while single-ply binding keeps the presentation clean and understated.

The mahogany neck uses a Medium C profile and traditional long neck tenon construction. A rosewood fingerboard features a 12" radius, 22 narrow-tall frets, trapezoid inlays, and a 24.75" scale length, creating a spec that sits comfortably between vintage-inspired and modern Les Paul designs.

A Burstbucker 2 in the neck is paired with the slightly hotter Burstbucker 3 in the bridge. The pickups are hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls using CTS audio-taper potentiometers, with a Switchcraft three-way toggle handling pickup selection.

An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, lightweight Stop Bar tailpiece, Kluson Deluxe tuners, nickel hardware, and gold Top Hat knobs complete the build. A Gibson Custom modern hardshell case is included.
