About This Guitar

The Gibson Doves In Flight in Antique Natural builds on the square-shoulder Dove platform with the classic combination of a Sitka spruce top and flame maple back and sides. Traditional scalloped X-bracing supports the top, while the 25.5" scale contributes to the model’s strong projection and defined attack. The body is finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer with multi-ply binding around the top and back.

Its mahogany neck uses a Rounded profile and compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. The rosewood fingerboard has a 12" radius, 20 standard frets, mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays and a 1.725" bone nut. Nickel Grover Keystone tuners complete the headstock hardware.

A rosewood Dove bridge is fitted with a bone saddle and TUSQ bridge pins. The Dove platform’s distinctive appointments include its decorated pickguard, with an inlaid mother-of-pearl Dove accented by hand-engraved and painted details.

For amplification, Gibson equips the guitar with its custom-voiced Baggs HiFi DNA system. Two lightweight sensors mount to the internal bridge plate and work with dedicated preamps, while discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls provide adjustment without adding controls to the exterior of the body. A hardshell case is included.
