The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Figured Top in Ocean Blue takes the traditional ’50s Les Paul formula and gives it a much more modern visual direction. The translucent Ocean Blue nitrocellulose finish is applied over an AA figured maple top, allowing the maple figure to remain a major part of the look.

The body uses classic Les Paul construction with a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany back and carved AA figured maple top. Single-ply cream binding frames the top, while the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish keeps the presentation consistent with the rest of Gibson’s Les Paul Standard lineup.

A mahogany neck features Gibson’s rounded 50s Vintage profile and a 24.75" scale length. The Indian rosewood fingerboard has a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, acrylic trapezoid inlays, and a 1.69" Graph Tech nut.

The electronics pair a Burstbucker 1 in the neck with a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge, both using Alnico 2 magnets. Traditional two-volume, two-tone controls are hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors and paired with a three-way toggle switch.

An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, lightweight aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, nickel hardware, and gold Top Hat knobs complete the traditional hardware package. A Gibson hardshell case is included.
