Ibanez IV2RG RG Visions w/case

The Ibanez IV2RG RG Visions combines the precision and speed of the RG platform with elaborate craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and versatile DiMarzio electronics. Featuring neck-through construction, a five-piece Maple/Purpleheart Super Wizard neck, and a Black Limba body topped with 4mm burl maple, the IV2RG brings together distinctive materials and performance-focused design. An ebony fingerboard with an intricate Tree of Life inlay, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and matte gold hardware give this instrument a striking appearance, while the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo and HSH pickup configuration provide the flexibility required for demanding modern playing styles.

The Black Limba body provides a resonant foundation with a balanced midrange response, complemented by the distinctive grain patterns of the 4mm burl maple top. The neck-through design integrates the five-piece Maple/Purpleheart neck directly into the body, creating a continuous structural connection that supports sustain and provides smooth access to the upper frets. The Super Wizard profile is exceptionally slim, measuring just 17mm thick at the first fret and 19mm at the 12th fret. Combined with the 25.5" scale length, this construction delivers the fast, responsive playing feel that has made Ibanez RG guitars a favorite among technically demanding players.

The ebony fingerboard features a flat 430mm radius, providing a comfortable platform for rapid runs, wide bends, and intricate lead techniques. Twenty-four jumbo stainless steel frets offer durability and a smooth playing surface, while Ibanez's Custom Shop Fret Edge Treatment refines the fret ends for a comfortable feel along the neck. The elaborate Tree of Life inlay adds a distinctive visual element that contrasts with the dark ebony fingerboard. With a 43mm nut width and 58mm fingerboard width at the 24th fret, the neck provides familiar RG string spacing while maintaining the streamlined dimensions of the Super Wizard design.

A versatile HSH pickup configuration pairs three DiMarzio pickups with complementary tonal characteristics. The DiMarzio Air Norton neck humbucker delivers a warm, articulate response suited to fluid lead playing and detailed chord work. The DiMarzio True Velvet middle single-coil provides clear, dynamic tones with the definition needed for cleaner passages, while the DiMarzio The Tone Zone bridge humbucker delivers powerful output, strong midrange presence, and a thick response for driven rhythm and lead sounds. All three pickups use passive Alnico magnet designs, providing a broad tonal foundation for rock, fusion, progressive metal, and other styles that demand both clarity and high-output performance.

The Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge double-locking tremolo provides precise pitch control and dependable tuning stability for expressive vibrato, dramatic dives, and aggressive tremolo techniques. Its low-profile design keeps the bridge hardware comfortable beneath the picking hand, while the locking nut helps maintain tuning through extensive tremolo use. Matte gold hardware complements the burl maple top and Tree of Life fingerboard inlay, giving the IV2RG an elegant appearance without sacrificing its performance-oriented character. Factory-equipped with D'Addario EXL120 strings in standard tuning, the Ibanez IV2RG RG Visions combines intricate craftsmanship with the speed, versatility, and precision associated with the RG platform.
