Jackson Limited Edition Legend Series Signature David Ellefson CB V Concert Bass w/case

The Jackson Limited Edition Legend Series Signature David Ellefson CB V Concert Bass recreates the first five-string bass Jackson built for David Ellefson, originally developed for Megadeth's 1990 Rust in Peace tour. This limited-edition model celebrates one of the defining instruments of Ellefson's career, combining the classic Concert Bass body shape with neck-through construction, active EMG electronics, and distinctive signature appointments. Finished in Gloss Black with matching black hardware, the CB V maintains the appearance and performance-focused design of the original instrument.

The alder body features a three-piece quartersawn maple neck-through construction with graphite reinforcement rods for added stability and sustain. The neck has an oiled finish for a smooth playing feel, while the ebony fingerboard features a 12"–16" compound radius, 22 jumbo frets, and pearloid sharkfin inlays. Luminlay side dots improve visibility on dark stages, while the 34" scale length and 1.75" Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut provide familiar five-string bass dimensions.

The electronics feature an EMG 40DC humbucker in the bridge position and an EMG 40CS humbucker in the neck. The 40DC delivers a focused, articulate response with strong low-end definition, while the 40CS provides a complementary voice for fuller bass tones. A master volume control and pickup blend allow players to balance the two pickups, while the active EMG three-band EQ provides independent bass, midrange, and treble adjustment for shaping the instrument's sound.

A Jackson HiMass five-string bridge provides a solid foundation for string stability and sustain, complemented by Hipshot Ultralite open-gear tuning machines. The pointed five-in-line Jackson headstock features a white Radiation logo, while Ellefson's signature appears on both the headstock and truss rod cover. Black hardware, oversized strap buttons, and .045–.130 strings complete the instrument. A Jackson foam-core case is included.
