This Martin Custom Shop 18 Style 0000/M was built around a Tone Shop-selected set of quilted mahogany, paired with an Adirondack spruce top and Martin’s larger Grand Auditorium body. The figured mahogany gives this build a much more distinctive visual character than a traditional Style 18 while keeping the overall presentation restrained and classic.

The Adirondack spruce top is supported by forward-shifted, scalloped 5/16" Golden Era X-bracing made from Adirondack spruce and hand-shaped by Martin. Brown faux tortoise binding, an Old Style 18 rosette, faux tortoise pickguard, and Aging Toner keep the appointments rooted in traditional Style 18 design.

The select hardwood neck uses a Modified V profile with High Performance Taper and a 25.4" scale length. A black ebony fingerboard features a 16" radius, 1 3/4" bone nut, 2 5/32" string spacing, and long Diamonds and Squares inlays in select abalone.

An East Indian rosewood headplate with Golden Era decal adds a traditional Martin touch up top, while the gloss body and satin neck keep the finish package clean and understated.

A black ebony GE Modern Belly bridge, compensated bone saddle, ebony bridge pins, and Grover nickel Sta-Tite 18:1 tuners complete the build. A Martin 5-ply hardshell case and Custom Shop Credentials Book are included.
