This Martin Custom Shop 18 Style 0000/M was designed by Tone Shop Guitars, with woods selected by our Custom Shop experts at the Martin factory in Nazareth, PA. Built with an Adirondack spruce top, Sinker mahogany back and sides, and a 12-fret M/0000 Grand Auditorium body, this custom Martin brings together a larger body footprint, premium wood selection, and a warm, powerful voice with excellent balance.

The Adirondack spruce top gives the guitar headroom, clarity, and dynamic range, while the Sinker mahogany back and sides add warmth, dryness, and a strong fundamental character. The M/0000 body gives the guitar a broader voice than a traditional OM, with added depth and fullness while still staying focused and comfortable.

This build also features a 12-fret neck joint, which shifts the bridge position and helps bring out a deeper, more open response. Adirondack spruce scalloped X-bracing with Golden Era hand shaping adds to the guitar’s lively feel, giving it the projection and responsiveness needed for strumming, flatpicking, vocal accompaniment, and recording.

The neck features a Modified V profile with High Performance Taper, a 1 3/4" nut width, and a black ebony fingerboard with long diamonds and squares inlays. The 25.4" scale length and 2 5/32" string spacing give the guitar a familiar Martin feel with enough room for more detailed right-hand work.

Appointments include brown faux tortoise binding, Old Style 18 Boltaron rosette, faux tortoise pickguard, black ebony bridge and headplate, CFM block headplate inlay, Grover nickel StaTite tuners with vintage buttons, Aging Toner top, gloss body, satin neck, polished headplate, and a 5-ply hardshell case.
