This Martin Custom Shop 18 Style Dreadnought was designed by Tone Shop Guitars around a Sinker mahogany back and side set selected by our team. Paired with an Adirondack spruce top, it brings together the dry, direct voice of a mahogany dreadnought with the added headroom and projection of Adirondack.

The Adirondack spruce top gives this guitar a clear, powerful attack with plenty of room under a heavier right hand, while the Sinker mahogany back and sides keep the voice warm, focused, and fundamental-forward. It is a strong fit for flatpicking, strumming, songwriting, recording, and players who want a classic 18-style dreadnought with a little more depth behind the notes.

Forward-shifted Adirondack spruce X-bracing with Golden Era hand shaping gives the top a more open, responsive feel without taking away the punch and control expected from a great mahogany dreadnought. The 25.4" scale length and 2 5/32" string spacing keep the feel traditional and capable under both pick and fingerstyle playing.

The neck features a Modified V profile with High Performance Taper, a 1 3/4" nut width, and a black ebony fingerboard with long diamonds and squares inlays. Brown faux tortoise binding, an Old Style 18 Boltaron rosette, faux tortoise pickguard, black ebony headplate with CFM block inlay, and Grover nickel StaTite tuners complete the build.
