Designed by Tone Shop Guitars around a fully Sinker mahogany build, this Martin Custom Shop 18 Style Dreadnought takes the familiar 18-style foundation in a more unusual direction. It pairs a Sinker mahogany top with matching Sinker mahogany back and sides, creating a custom dreadnought with a direct, woody voice and a look that stands apart from the usual spruce-top formula.

The Sinker mahogany top gives this guitar a warm, focused response, while the matching Sinker mahogany back and sides keep the build cohesive from front to back. It has the fundamental-forward character players expect from a great mahogany dreadnought, with a strong midrange voice that suits flatpicking, strumming, recording, and vocal accompaniment.

Forward-shifted Adirondack spruce X-bracing with Golden Era hand shaping gives the guitar added openness and projection without losing the dry, controlled response that makes an all-mahogany dreadnought so appealing. The 25.4" scale length and 2 5/32" string spacing give it the familiar feel and punch of a traditional Martin dreadnought.

The neck features a GE Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper, a 1 3/4" nut width, and a black ebony fingerboard with Old Style 18 select abalone inlays. Brown faux tortoise binding, an Old Style 18 Boltaron rosette, faux tortoise pickguard, East Indian rosewood headplate, Golden Era decal, and Grover nickel StaTite tuners complete the classic 18-style look.
