This Martin Custom Shop 18 Style dreadnought was designed by Tone Shop Guitars with woods selected for this custom build, bringing together an Adirondack spruce top, Sinker mahogany back and sides, and a seriously cool Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. It takes the direct, powerful voice of an 18-style dreadnought and adds a few elevated Custom Shop details that make this one stand out immediately.

The Adirondack spruce top gives the guitar headroom, clarity, and dynamic range, while the Sinker mahogany back and sides add warmth, dryness, and a strong fundamental voice. This is the kind of dreadnought build that has the power for flatpicking and strumming, but still keeps the note attack clear and focused.

The top is supported by Adirondack spruce bracing in a forward-shifted X-brace pattern, with scalloped Golden Era hand shaping. That combination gives the guitar a more open, responsive feel while still delivering the punch and projection players expect from a great mahogany dreadnought.

What really pushes this build into special territory is the Brazilian rosewood detail work. The fingerboard, bridge, and headplate are all Brazilian rosewood, giving the guitar a unique Custom Shop feel while keeping the overall aesthetic rooted in classic 18-style simplicity. Long diamonds and squares inlays, brown faux tortoise binding, an Old Style 18 Boltaron rosette, and Grover nickel StaTite tuners complete the look.

The neck features a GE Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper, a 1 3/4" nut width, and 2 5/32" string spacing. With a 25.4" scale length, gloss body, satin neck, Aging Toner top, and 5-ply hardshell case, this is a standout Martin Custom Shop dreadnought with a strong traditional voice and a few very cool custom touches.
